The OCC9010 Mega Conan is the Universal Media Access Controller (UMAC)
for the D2B/SMARTwireX™, a third generation high speed multimedia
networking system for automotive and other consumer electronics
products. To achieve effective network design and facilitate product
implementation, the OCC9010 MAC provides maximum functional integration,
including source data routing, communication management and all other
communication protocol functions.

D2B/SMARTwireX enables the combination of source data, such as digital
audio, video or other high-volume, real-time digital data with the
control data necessary to control slave devices such as CD and DVD
changer mechanisms onto a single unshielded twisted pair cable.
The OCC9010 allows a “two-chip” networking solution, connecting directly
to the PLC8002 D2B/SMARTwireX physical layer controller (PLC) device,
and to industry-standard audio and video codecs and microcontrollers.
