C&CE provides a total solution for automotive digital multimedia and telematics networking. Our expertise spans overall system specification, IC design and fabrication, software development, development and test tools and consultancy services. We are the pioneers of the world's first standard for a fully-integrated multimedia and telematics network in automobiles and the first true automotive multimedia and telematics networking IC - CONAN®. In 2002 CONAN® will power over 6 million nodes in vehicles from Mercedes and Jaguar throughout the world. Our consultancy team has worked with our carmaker customers and their 1st tier suppliers to bring the world's first cars with distributed multimedia networks into mass production. Established in 1990, as a joint venture between Philips and Matsushita the company was formed as D2B Systems Co. This became Communication and Control Electronics Limited in 1994, following a management buyout enabling the company to focus solely on servicing the automotive industry. With our headquarters in Farnborough, UK, offices in mainland Europe and Japan, C&CE is able to support carmakers and their suppliers across the globe.
